Theatrical Acquisitions & Releasing
To date, Cinedigm has acquired a range of award-winning theatrical titles across genres for traditional releases to day and date VOD. THE INVISIBLE WAR was nominated for an Academy Award and won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary. SHORT TERM 12 is the best-reviewed film of the year. Also in current theatrical release: Penny Lane’s OUR NIXON, Jill Soloway’s AFTERNOON DELIGHT (in partnership with The Film Arcade), Godfrey Reggio’s VISITORS. Up next: Shaul Schwarz’s NARCO CULTURA. Currently, Cinedigm has OPEN WINDOWS (starring Elijah Wood and Sasha Grey) available in an ultra VOD window, with a theatrical release planned for 11/7. SONG ONE, starring Anne Hathaway, will be released theatrically in early 2015.
