    Position Summary

    The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of a digital network launch across the OTT, mobile and connected device ecosystem. We are looking for someone with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and intricacies of building and sustaining a multi-platform network who can manage the software development process, beta testing and the day-to-day maintenance of a dynamic video-streaming service.

    This person will serve as the primary point of contact within the Digital Networks department and will be responsible for overseeing interdepartmental workflows as well as managing external vendors. He/she will need to activate multi-functional internal teams and ensure that deadlines and project milestones are set and met. We need someone hyper-organized with a keen attention to detail and proven project management track record. As with any start-up business, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast moving environment will be required. Ultimately, this person carries the responsibility of ensuring that we release and maintain perfectly functioning streaming video players/apps/products into a new and fast evolving entertainment content eco-system. This person is also responsible for ensuring that we are efficiently monetizing our video networks to the greatest possible extent, continually reviewing all analytics and assembling recommendations based on competitive analysis and performance tracking.

    Responsibilities/Duties

    • Oversee the software development process, including creating and overseeing project budgets
    • Manage the development of a product roadmap for incorporation of third-party products and services
    • Responsible for the product development lifecycle (including gathering requirements, drafting product specifications) through development & deployment as well as additional ongoing service improvements
    • Ensure key deliverables deadlines and product milestones are set and met by all parties; oversee development approvals and manage workflows
    • Serve as primary liaison with external developer to ensure apps and all ancillary materials are promptly submitted per established specifications to app distribution platforms
    • Conduct ongoing platform performance reviews and track status of open issues. Regularly conduct product reviews and provide recommendations based on content performance, subscriber counts, revenue and other key metrics
    • Oversee product testing plan and manage ongoing QA via internal/external product testing resources
    • Serve as the day-to-day contact for external development teams and partners (including app developers, OVP/CDN, Ad Platforms and third-party ad networks)
    • Serve as key conduit of communication between production, digital sales, IT, accounting, operations and network teams. Ensure the full team is informed, activated and on schedule

    Qualifications

    • The position will require fluency with the digital distribution ecosystem and an ability to lead strategic planning and implementation.
    • Deep understanding of digital video and internet technologies, especially as it relates to website and application development
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and an ability to flourish in a highly collaborative team environment

    Specific Knowledge Abilities and Skills

    • Firm understanding of the OTT landscape and broad background in digital distribution
    • This position will lead and contribute subject matter expertise to product strategy, product roadmap, and service improvements
    • Experienced multi-tasker with proven ability to juggle diverse array of project management tasks
    • Ability to thrive in a demanding, constantly changing work environment
    • Self-sufficient with competencies across a broad spectrum of project management, production and operational roles

    Education and Experience

    • BA/BS degree required
    • 3-5 years of experience in a product development role focusing on web and mobile application development
    • Expert project management and organizational skills; experience with Agile development a plus
    • Proven leadership skills demonstrating the ability to deliver projects on-time, on-budget and according to specification
